Brotherhood of St. Andrew

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a national missionary and evangelism men's ministry within the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. The Brotherhood seeks to bring men and boys to Christ through the Church. Members dedicate themselves to reflective prayer, Bible study and service.

Province I President of the Brotherhood, Tom Cottrell, is a member of St. Mark's Chapel and is dedicated to seeing the Brotherhood grow and flourish in the region. In a recent interview, Tom articulated the reasons for his work in this ministry: "I hear a lot that going to church, living a good life and treating others with kindness will be the example others will need to follow. Although this is important for one's redemption, we need to go further and be Disciples of Christ. The Brotherhood had proven to be one of the best ways to carry out the Great Commission."

As part of a larger Brotherhood Assembly effort, members from St. Mark's have been actively engaged in service at Camp Washington, an Episcopal camp and retreat center in Western Connecticut.
